Protect Your Eyes During The Solar Eclipse!

Today, depending on where you live, America will see a partial or total solar eclipse and it is important to protect your eyes during the process.

There are a few ways to take part in viewing this amazing phenomenon, and it is important that you have safety glasses that are meant to protect your eyes from the suns strong radiation. Regular sunglasses are not sufficient and can damage your retinas. Here are a few ways to watch the eclipse:

Three Ways To Watch The Solar Eclipse

1. Watch the eclipse through a pinhole projection. You don't need high-tech or expensive glasses to view the sky, you can participate in the solar eclipse watching without looking directly at the sun. It's a sure safe way to protect your kid's sight if you don't want to look at the sun, and it's a fun science experiment.

2. Watch the live stream online from NASA. If you live outside the total solar eclipse path, you can watch the moon completely cover the sun from online!

3. Use safety solar eclipse glasses! If your local stores don't carry them, there are local viewing parties happening around your neighborhood. You can find an event happening at your library or science center.

The whole continent of America will experience a partial or total eclipse today, be sure to protect your eyes. Even looking at the sun for a few minutes has the potential to cause damage. Here's a video guide to help keep your vision safe!
