Establishing a Good Contact Lens Fit at Silicon Valley Eye Physicians
At Silicon Valley Eye Physicians, our goal is to find the best contact lenses to give you comfortable, clear vision every day. That starts with a comprehensive contact lens exam. We'll run tests that will show us the shape of your eyes and help us determine your exact visual needs. After that, we'll speak to you about your health history, your current eye health, and any lifestyle considerations that might influence the type of contacts that are right for you.
Once we've done all this, we should have a good idea of the direction we should go to help you out. In most cases, patients are able to leave their first contact lens exam with a sample pair of contact lenses, so we can determine if these are the right set of contacts for you.
We'll then ask you to come in a few weeks later to speak with us about your experience with your sample pair to decide whether you'd like to continue with these contacts or try a different kind. We'll also speak to you about ongoing contact lens care and how best to wear them to prevent infection and other complications that can sometimes come up with contacts.
